Walter + Shannon | Colorful & Charming Wedding at The Amarillo Botanical Gardens

Walter and Shannon’s wedding was 10 years in the making and if you asked them, I’m sure they would tell you it was worth the wait.

Their day at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens was sweet, intimate, and peaceful. The ceremony was held in the lush greenhouse with only their closest family and friends surrounding them. Their son and daughters stood beside them. Walter, always the jokester, presented Shannon with a “ring bear” holding her wedding ring. That’s my favorite thing about these two - that they always strive to have fun and laugh together.

Simple, easygoing weddings are the best because, selfishly, I get tons of time with just the bride and groom for pictures. We were able to walk around the gardens as they enjoyed their first few moments as husband and wife.

For their reception, they were joined by more of their friends where they continued to have fun and enjoy the party.
