There's a first time for everything, right? Well Jillian + Lila was my first dog birthday photography session! Jillian (human) contacted me a few weeks ago about celebrating Lila's (dog) 1st birthday with a photo session and obviously I jumped at the opportunity. I understand what it's like to have a special relationship with your pup so to do a session honoring that relationship is so important to me. About two months ago, Dumas high school senior Brenda emailed me with an idea. She wanted to use some props to showcase her love of learning. I told her I loved the idea and she rolled with it! She gathered props such as a globe and some old looking books by borrowing from various teachers. This girl drove all the way from Dumas to Palo Duro Canyon with a giant, heavy globe in her lap! We set up a sort of outdoor studio right in the middle of canyon and if anyone saw us as they drove by, they probably thought we were crazy. But it was totally worth it.
