I’m so thankful for all of the moms that signed up for my Motherhood Event this past April. We were able to create some really sweet moments between Moms and their little ones. I wanted this day to celebrate the joys of motherhood and capture candid moments so that the moms could walk away from their photo session with tangible memories of this phase of their lives.
As a photographer, I’m always most interested in the pictures that capture true connections and real feelings. I’ll always get the safe, looking-at-the-camera shot, but then I like to move on to pictures that will remind my clients of every emotion, every touch, and every sound that is so much a part of their lives right now.
I’m in the day to day trenches of motherhood myself right now with three children all under age 5. I know exactly what it’s like. The days can be so long and sometimes you feel as if you have nothing left at the end of the day. These moms deserve to be pampered and given a gift that will be treasured for years to come!
Read MoreAbbey and Lane’s engagement session in Palo Duro Canyon was sheer perfection. It doesn’t get any more beautiful than these two! The way they interacted with each other, laughed, and kissed, you would also have no idea it was like 49 degrees and windy that day! They traveled up from Lubbock to spend a couple of hours in the canyon with me this April. At first it was supposed to be a couple’s session, but in between booking me and the actual session, Lane proposed to Abbey!
These two are so sweet together and I loved getting to know them and their personalities!
Also, even though I have taken pictures in the canyon dozens (if not hundreds) of times, it always feels new to me because of the people I have the honor of capturing. Every love story, every family, every person is unique. The picturesque background of Palo Duro Canyon will always be my favorite place to tell these stories.
Read MoreSydney and Jordan met for the first time several years ago on a hike in Palo Duro Canyon with a mutual friend. So there was no better place to take their engagement pictures than the place where it all began. This beautiful couple got engaged in Paris(!) recently and I felt so honored to document a part of their love story.
It means so much to me that they traveled all the way from their home in Austin, Texas to explore the amazing red rocks of the canyon with me. Even though I have photographed people in the canyon dozens of times, it never gets old for me, because each couple that I photograph is so unique!
I loved meeting Sydney and Jordan!

We started the session by exploring the downtown area, taking advantage of the beautiful architecture and lively atmosphere. The couple was dressed impeccably, with Nathan in a classic suit and Alix in a stunning dress that perfectly complemented the downtown vibes.
As we moved through the streets, we captured a variety of candid and posed shots, each one showcasing the couple's love and affection for each other. From playful moments to intimate embraces, the images captured the joy and excitement of this special time in their lives.
Overall, the session was a perfect blend of fun and class, with their personalities shining through in every shot. It was a privilege to be part of this experience, and I can’t wait for their summer wedding in Amarillo!
Read MoreThere is something truly magical about newborn photography sessions, especially when it involves a baby girl and her big sister. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a newborn baby girl in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family. It was a joy to capture the new bond between the sisters. I have no doubt they will be best friends!
The session was relaxed and comfortable, with plenty of breaks for feeding and cuddling.
In the end, we were able to capture a collection of beautiful images that will serve as a lasting memory of this special time in the family's life. It was a pleasure to be part of this experience and to witness the love and warmth that radiated throughout the session.
Read MoreDid you know that newborn pictures don't necessarily have to take place within two weeks of birth? Especially for first time parents, it might be a more relaxing experience if you wait. Since my approach is more natural and less posed, it's okay if baby is awake. And you might catch some of those first smiles!
Sweet little Evie was 6 weeks old for the time of her portraits and she was in the best mood the whole time. She loved smiling and interacting with Mommy and she loved laying in the Moses basket in my studio!
Huge thank you to Dillard’s of Amarillo for providing these gorgeous dresses for Mom. The dresses, the flowers, and the beautiful moments between Mom and Evie allowed me to create some dreamy, soft, and sweet newborn portraits.

There is something magical about the way a mother interacts with her child. The way she holds them close, looks into their eyes, and smiles at them with such tenderness and affection. It’s a radiating sort of love.

As you might be able to tell by her gorgeous, elegant pink dress, they are having a little girl in May. I know they can’t wait to meet their little blessing! And neither can I!
