Darin + Kristen | Backyard Boho Wedding in Amarillo, TX

Darin and Kristen’s backyard wedding in Amarillo, Texas was everything that a wedding should be and more! It was intimate, personal, full of life, and absolutely lovely in every way.

When they first considered hiring me as their wedding photographer, they expressed that it was important for their day to be peaceful. They didn’t want to feel stressed on their wedding day. When I hear those words from my clients, my eyes light up and I know that we will become a perfect fit. Because I have the strong belief that a wedding day is about: #1 getting married. And the rest of the day’s details are secondary.

Ryan + Kelsay | Ranch Wedding at West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas

Kelsay and Ryan’s day was everything they hoped it would be: beautiful, peaceful, and fun, and most of all, a big celebration with their families and friends! These two are a breath of fresh air.

They got married at the chapel on West Texas A&M’s campus in Canyon. After the ceremony, they retreated to the Whitaker Ranch outside of town where the party began. In a beautiful outdoor reception as the sun went down, they cut their cake, said toasts, and danced under the Texas night sky.

Ryan + Kelsay | Pre-Wedding Portraits at West Texas A&M University

Kelsay and Ryan wanted to take their bride and groom portraits before their wedding day - which I had never done before but was all for! It allowed us to take our time and get some amazing shots of them in their wedding attire in a much more relaxed setting than the wedding day. They are super laid back, easy going people and we had a lot of fun getting to know each other a little bit before their day. I think it made the wedding day go that much smoother!

Dylan + Chloe | Intimate Backyard Wedding at Historic Home in Canyon, Texas

I’ve always said that weddings are at their best when they are filled with meaningful details and emotional moments. Dylan and Chloe’s wedding was filled to the brim with meaning. The wedding took place in Chloe’s home which is one of the oldest houses in Canyon, Texas. Her mom, Carrie, even showed me a picture of the first family that built the house 100+ years ago. Chloe got ready for her day in her childhood bedroom - complete with Annie Oakley posters on the wall (I love that!). I took her detail pictures of her shoes and rings on the wooden staircase.

Jordan + Allyson | Colorful and Bright Late Summer Wedding at the Resplendent Garden in Amarillo, TX

What a day! Jordan and Allyson’s wedding was the first wedding I have photographed since moving back to Texas - so my first wedding in nearly 10 months. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous to be back shooting weddings but those feelings quickly dissipated when the day began. The details of this wedding were out of this world! Anything with a lot of color has my heart.

Some of my Favorite Wedding Venues in Lubbock, Texas

What I love about the wedding venues in Lubbock, Texas is that they are not afraid to take risks and be unique! They are all so different from each other and the wedding scene is drastically different even from Amarillo only two hours away. I love it because it makes my job as a wedding photographer exciting. Lubbock is like Amarillo’s cool older sister, you know! Some venues are elegant, some are industrial and some are bright and funky. I love them all and I love making the trip down to shoot weddings there.

Mark + Madi | Rustic Industrial Wedding at Tin Top Gin

If rain on your wedding day is good luck, then Mark and Madi are the luckiest people alive. I’ve never seen so much rain on a wedding day! I think it rained nonstop for 5 straight hours. It will certainly be a story to tell. Luckily, before the rain began, we were able to get pictures of Mark and his guys and Madi and her girls plus some of their family photos done. We were also able to get pictures of a sweet moment between Madi and Mark as they held hands, exchanged letters, and prayed without seeing each other.

They saw each other for the first time as Madi walked down the aisle and they said their vows as rain pattered the tin roof. It was a day to remember with sweet details and even sweeter moments.
